Machinery Health Manager
Mechanical equipment will eventually break down. It is simply a matter of time. You can only hope that the breakdown doesn’t occur at the peak of your production schedule, or be caused by an out-of-inventory part. But if you know the health of your rotating mechanical assets, you are able to plan for repairs rather than react to unexpected failures. And sharing that information between maintenance and operations means repairs are anticipated and production schedules are adjusted accordingly. The plant recognizes increased availability and performance from production assets, rather than expensive downtime and costly repairs.

Emerson's AMS Suite: Machinery Health Manager diagnoses and communicates the health of mechanical and rotating machinery using data from several predictive maintenance technologies. This includes integrating data from third-party, complimentary technology vendors such as mini labs and handheld oil analyzers from Spectro Inc., and popular infrared and thermography cameras from FLIR and Fluke.

The result? A comprehensive view of each monitored machine and a more accurate diagnosis when developing problems are discovered.

Notice to Customers:
Microsoft recently announced they will discontinue support in April, 2014 of their XP operating system. As a result, Emerson will discontinue support of XP operating systems with the release of AMS Machinery Manager v5.61, but will continue support in v5.6 and older. This decision is based on the lack of technical assistance available for Windows XP, which includes the automatic updates from Microsoft that help to protect your PC. Customers continuing to use Windows XP could see their computers become vulnerable to new viruses and security risks. The AMS Machinery Manager v5.61 release will support the new Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.
