This means you can ill afford to have even one out of production for an extended period of time. The rigors these trucks endure eventually will take their toll on key engine and drivetrain components. While regular preventive maintenance is key to extending the life of a healthy haul truck fleet, your staff ultimately needs visibility into what ails your trucks today.
Solution: Emerson works with mine companies and leading manufacturers to outfit mine haul trucks with the Emerson CSI 6500 online, condition-based monitoring system. Installed onboard to continuously monitor vibration levels on vehicle components like transmission, torque converters, and traction drives, your maintenance staff can gain greater visibility into emerging drivetrain problems. By interfacing with Emerson's AMS Machinery Manager, teams can determine equipment faults and severity and correlate findings with other collected data such as oil samples – all within the same software environment.
