Intelligence Phase

The Intelligence phase collects forest information to determine the key metrics identified in the Blueprint phase. It uses customized sampling designs to achieve specified accuracy targets as determined by the client. The Intelligence phase uses an innovative combination of ground and remote sensing measurements to compile a fibre index. The fibre index is composed of tree and log populations including species, piece size and quality information. More than just inventory, the fibre index is a product-oriented and value-based forest warehouse; built on forest metrics critical to business profitability. Once the warehouse is accurately measured, recovery modeling and optimized allocation planning can be accomplished in the following FiDEX™ phases.
