PORTABLE INDUSTRIAL SERVICES

 

Autobore welding systems

Our automated welding process is very effective. Save on average 50% to 75% of labour costs compare to traditional welding. The result is very close to that of robotized welding, giving a perfect and uniformed finish every time and maximizing the machine time available. It is also possible to weld borings from 7/8 to 144 inches in diameter. Face or flange welding and those on the cylindrical external supports are some of the many advantages of this impressive equipment. Our automated welding machine has the ability to go to the boring phase without the need to dismantle the machinery. Another great asset is the ability to carry out welding and machining simultaneously. This means, in short, efficiency.



Thanks to our portable cutting table’s fixed or flexible rails maintained in position by magnetic or vacuum brackets, it is possible for us to perform cuttings up to 20 inches wide on a limitless length. And, while in place, only by changing the plasma cutting head by the MIG head we can complete the assembling owing to its automated welding capacity and that with respect to all CWB and ASME standards procedures.  

 


 

 

Portable boring machines

Our portable boring machines can bore from a diameter of 1 ½ inches up to 80 inches with the same precision and speed as a workshop machine. They can also machine exterior supports, flanges and grooves. They are designed for a usage in confined spaces or areas with restricted access. The characteristics of the compact supports as well as the positioning of the motor optimize the level of power achievable. Different motors are used according to need. If there is a risk of explosion due to gasoline or chemical vapours, in a refinery for example, it is possible to carry out the work with an adapted pneumatic motor thus eliminating the risk. For work requiring more power, a hydraulic motor will deliver the desired performance. The installation is quick and the manufacturing processes automatically adjust the rotation and the reach using the advanced electronic controls.


 


 

 

Valves repair machines

The on-site manufacturing of small or large supports (flanges) is a great asset. We machine all types of parts: single encasement, RTJ, lenticular, bevelling and countersinking for welding preparation and many other applications to meet your needs. Surface finishing is important so if required we can rectify all surfaces to the required surface roughness standard. All our equipment is quick and easy to set up. The adjustable tool holders enable us to feed chamfers automatically or to machine at an angle. The machining of a flange on an excavator or large diameter bearing disk is now very straight forward (child’s play).

Our vast choice of machinery covers surfaces from 0 to 236 inches in diameter. Still if a larger equipment is needed to accomplish bigger jobs, we are collaborating with one of our American partner which enable us to reach 150 foot in diameter.


 


 


Valves repair machines

With our vast range of portable machine tools, we are in a position to offer on-site valve repairs and remanufacturing. We are equipped to do valve seats rectification, lapping and straitening. Cut the cost of repairing or replacing reconditioned valves by using our valve repair service. We also provide replacement fittings and offer a guarantee equal to that given by the manufacturer. We can also repair seats from 1 ¼ to 40 inches and valves MSIV, DN 1O to DN 1200, Dresser Consolidated MaxiFlow valves, Crosby relief valves and other similar valves.


 


 

 

Portable lathes

Our portable industrial lathes are indisputably our most popular on-site service. Once again, we can carry out any machining jobs, turning, drilling, laser tracking and even taper turning. Benefit from our expertise to maintain your equipment on-site at a lower cost than the traditional services. The turning capacity can vary from 1 ½ to 27 inches in diameter on a 27 inch in length. Combining a clamshell and a journal turning lathe we can machine anywhere on a shaft of up to 36 inches in diameter. For shafts with larger diameter we can add lathe beds and use an independent drive which enables us to machine unlimited diameter size. Engine shafts, turbine shafts, mixers, height dimension gear shaft remanufacturing, etc. You will be astonished by the effectiveness and the versatility of these technological wonders.


 


 

 

3 axis milling machine

Portable triaxial milling machines capable of carrying out all manufacturing works, equipped with a multi positioning countersinking head that allows reaming (milling) to any angle. Surface machining, face milling, refacing of seats, keyway, key slot and even polishing. Milling of flat surfaces measuring up to 86 by 188 inches, or more if needed. This is the perfect equipment for the restoration of worn parts on large machinery, avoiding both the need to dismantle the machinery and long costly production shutdowns.


 


 

 

Portable key mills

Keyways and other milling machining right on the spot are also possible with these tools. Precise milling of keyways and key slots for standard (SAE) and metric or long keyways for arbores (shafts) of up to 24 inch in diameter with a slots of up to 3 1/8 inch.


 


 


Portable balancing

Laser alignment is a very important process when professionally installing a piece of equipment or carrying preventative maintenance. We use top of the range device that enables us to meet all your needs. Shaft and flange alignment, perpendicular and parallel adjustment, straightening and levelling, these are only a few examples of possible applications. Poor shaft alignment is always the cause of bearing failure, shaft failure, seal failure, coupling wear, overheating, energy loss, high vibration, etc. This considerably reduces their life expectancy.


 


 

 

Laser tracker 3D

Move to Laser speed, let us introduce you our new acquisition: the Faro Laser tracker. This portable high precision 3D measuring tool can be mounted anywhere: on a ceiling, on the ground even vertically. Precision inspection, levelling, modelling, summary or dimensional reports of large parts and machinery, these are only a few examples of the possibilities we can perform for you. Supported by a laptop and a 3D software connected to the tracker, our qualified technicians can record by data capture points up to 10 000 points per second resulting in very accurate measurements (beyond 10 microns). Equipped with an internal weather station, its integrated temperature sensors measure the temperature, the atmospheric pressure and the air humidity which enable to automatically take into consideration the environment influence.

The tracker’s laser beam precisely follows a mirrored spherical probe (prism) and measure the radial distance and calculates both zenith and azimuth axes angles. Those three values are use to calculate the spatial coordinates X, Y and Z. This is the way the spherical probe movements are tracked.
