Our Story
SMS Rents originated as a new business venture operating within one of Canada’s top tier heavy equipment distribution companies.
With support and encouragement from our early rental customers, our growing rental business was independently launched as Komatsu Rents in 2003. In 2008, our service was rebranded as SMS Rents to better reflect our expanding range of rental equipment and to bring about greater alignment with our parent company, SMS Construction and Mining Systems Inc.
In just 10 years, SMS Rents has emerged as a service leader for contractors, resource companies, mining and industrial facilities in major rental markets throughout Ontario and Quebec. We have achieved a consistent record of growth by pursuing a clear mission, guided by a strong vision and commitment to our core values:

Licensed Mechanic - North Bay
Repair a multitude of surface diesel driven machines such as mini excavators, air compressors, loaders, welders and aerial style equipment.
Sales Representative
Responsible for the prospecting of new rental business and increasing rental revenue from existing customers. Follow-up with customers and resolve problems related to equipment rentals.
Rental Counter Representative - Mississauga
Answer all telephone inquiries from Customers / Sales and process all Rental Requests; escalate and communicate professionally & effectively.
