Our Story

Hamsar originated with the entrepreneurial spirit of the President, Fred Kelly to create his own company more than 30 years ago. From a humble beginning starting out in his garage to now one of the world’s leaders in lighting and technology, the company still reflects his attitude and commitment to innovation and customer service today.



Hamsar has grown to be a world leader in manufacturing and distributing automotive lighting,heavy equipment work lamps, daytime running lights, high intensity discharge lighting, bulbs, silk screen promotional products, electronics, printed circuit boards and flex strip lighting and many other electronics products.



At Hamsar we have an in-house engineering department and testing facility with up-to-the-minute design capabilities that meets S.A.E., D.O.T. and ECE STANDARDS. Our on-site testing facility includes a photometric light tunnel, audio chamber, environmental chamber, salt spray chamber and life cycle test area. This allows us to​ create a customized and comprehensive solution for projects with even the most stringent specifications and timelines from concept to final product.



With a manufacturing and distribution centre in our Canadian Head Office and a second distribution centre in Temecula, California we have established ourselves as a reliable supplier of ISO quality products with an exemplary fill rate and a dependable shipping record.
