The Boreal Prospectors Association is run by a diverse group of individual volunteers acting as a Board of Directors.

The objective of the Society is to promote the science of geophysics, especially as it applies to exploration, and to promote fellowship and co-operation among those persons interested in geophysical prospecting.

Since 2001 NWOPA has presented awards recognizing lifetime achievements, mineral discoveries and mine developments.

The Sault & District Prospectors Association (SDPA) is an affiliate of the Ontario Prospectors Association (OPA).
