Automotive solutions

The automotive industry is a key sector for all industrial countries around the world. If the automotive industry were a country, it would be the sixth largest economy in the world and employ millions of people.

A huge challenge for the automotive industry is the combination of political and consumer demands. Light materials, hybrid and electric cars with more efficient batteries, and downsizing in combustion engines are examples of technological developments to which car manufacturers need to adapt. As a result of our close partnership with automakers around the world since our foundation in 1942, Sandvik Coromant can provide tools and solutions together with in-depth application know-how for most components in all sizes of automotive vehicles—from motorcycles to heavy trucks.

With a strong foothold in R&D and with close cooperation with both customers and machine builders, we have a truly competitive offer to bring to the automotive industry.
