About the MPDA: Manitoba Prospectors and Developers Association was formed in the 1930’s. In 1994 the organization was incorporated under the name Manitoba Prospectors and Developers Association Inc. (MPDA). Its purpose is “To act as an advocacy group for the concerns and interests of our members and to inform the public of the value of mining in Manitoba”.

MPDA frequently advocates on behalf of its members in discussion with Government, offers annual scholarships for study in geosciences and is represented at certain mining conventions and related events in Winnipeg and Toronto. The MPDA website www.mpda.ca includes discussion of current events and issues and highlights mineral properties owned by members in the province of Manitoba. Our monthly meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at the Canad Inn, Polo Park, in order to discuss current issues and to sometimes hear presentations by speakers.
