Mike Burke
 
Mr. Burke is a Yukon based Consulting Geologist, he was the Chief Geologist for Golden Predator Mining Corp from 2011 to 2017. Prior to joining Golden Predator Mike was previously employed by the Government of Yukon beginning in 1990, most recently as the Head of Mineral Services for the Yukon Geological Survey. Mr. Burke was responsible for liaising with prospectors, mining and exploration companies, visiting active exploration sites, authoring the annual Yukon Mining, Development and Exploration Overview and presenting information on Yukon to investment bankers, financial institutions and mining analysts in meetings and conferences around the world.
 
Mr. Burke has worked since 1983 in the mineral exploration and mining industry in British Columbia and Yukon. He was fortunate to be part of the exploration team which discovered the Sa Dena Hes lead-zinc mine and the Ketza River Gold Mine in Yukon. Mike worked at the Ketza River Gold Mine from exploration through mine development, production and closure as the Mine Geologist before joining the Yukon Geological Survey in 1990.
 
Mr. Burke holds a BSc in Geology from the University of British Columbia, is a Professional Geologist with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia and a member of the Society of Economic Geologists. Mike is also a member of the Yukon College Board of Governors since 2011, a member of the Advisory Committee for the Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining at Yukon College, and a member of the Technical Advisory Committee for the Yukon Geological Survey.
 
R. Allan Doherty (Yukon), P. Geo.
 
Al Doherty has been active in mineral exploration in the Yukon continuously since 1981.   As an active member of YCM since 1987, served as President 1988-89 and 1993 and has been a director numerous times. PDAC board member 1996-2000.  YMAB board member 1989-1993.  Active founder and Board chair Yukon mine training Association.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Chris Cormier
 
Chris Cormier is the General Manager, Goldcorp’s Coffee Mine Project. Mr. Cormier has over 25 years in the mining industry most recently as Vice President Reclamation & Closure, Mine General Manager at Red Lake Mines in Red Lake Ontario and Mine General Manager at the Porcupine Operations in Timmins Ontario.
 
Since joining Goldcorp in 1997, Chris has held various roles within operations and projects with increasing responsibility and throughout these roles Mr. Cormier has always taken an active role in the communities he has worked and lived to ensure both the operation and community benefited through successfully building long lived mine operations together.
 
Mr. Cormier has a Bachler of Science in Mining Engineering from Michigan Technological University, a Mining Technology Diploma from Northern College Haileybury School of Mines and currently is a registered Professional Engineer in the province of British Columbia.
 
Ed Peart
 
Ed Peart was born and raised in the mining town of Yellowknife, NWT and moved to the Yukon in November 2002.  Currently the Director of Ground Operations with Alkan Air, he has diverse experience in aviation related to the mining industry.  Ed was the Corporate Sales Representative for Air North, Yukon's Airline where he led Air North's efforts to promote the use of the airline for mining crew rotations, travel and cargo needs.  He was then promoted into the Operations team as the Manager, Yukon Ramp and Cargo. 
 
Ed has been a part of the Yukon Chamber of Mines' Geoscience organizing committee from 2014 - 2016, is currently the Chair of the Yukon Chamber of Commerce's Transportation Infrastructure Committee, has been the President of the Yukon Convention Bureau, and is the Vice President of the Dawson City Chamber of Commerce. 
 
The reason for wishing to be elected to the YCM's Board of Directors is to offer a strong voice for mining, bring my transportation and infrastructure experience to the table, and to bring my many years of executive level Board experience.
 
Ed has been a Canadian Armed Forces Reserve Officer in the CIC for 14.5 years and is still serving.
 
Sue Craig
 
Susan has over 25 years of experience in the Yukon ranging from mineral exploration and permitting, to construction and operation of mines. Susan is currently an appointed member of the Yukon Mineral Advisory and Yukon Energy Corporation boards, is a Yukon Women in Mining Champion, and is on the board of Association of Mineral Exploration BC. Susan was honoured to receive the YCM Member’s award in 2012.
 
Susan served as a director of YCM for many years and her knowledge and experience in the Yukon, especially during these trying times in our industry, provides a tremendous asset to the board.
 
 
Andrew Carne
 
Andrew is a Project Engineer with Archer, Cathro & Associates (1981) Limited. He has a Bachelor’s of Applied Science in Materials Engineering and a Masters of Civil Engineering specializing in Project Management, both from UBC. He has been working with Archer Cathro, primarily on Yukon projects, since 2006, in a variety of roles both in the field and the office. His main focus is on later-stage projects, including permitting, metallurgical test programs and economic analyses for a variety of clients.
 
 
 
 
 
Colin Asselstine
 
With more than twenty years’ experience in the Yukon mining sector, Colin Asselstine has worked as an operational and project manager, business owner, and leader in the private sector, and with Yukon First Nation governments.
 
As General Manager of the Kluane Community Development Limited Partnership, Colin partners with government and industry for the enhancement of local economic opportunities and the attraction of investment to the Kluane First Nation.  His work has attracted investment in community builds, infrastructure, and projects which encourage community growth in Burwash Landing and throughout the traditional territory of Kluane First Nation.  The partnership which Colin aided in establishing with Nickel Creek Platinum has afforded local citizens, and contractors, opportunities for involvement at all levels of the project, while maintaining a cost-effective, and solution-based approach which targets the realization of the company’s objectives.
 
A well-respected authority on renewable energy, Colin is also a long-time resident of the Kluane Region and an active member of the community. He sits on the Dän Keyi Renewable Resource Council and is a frequent community volunteer, including more than 15 years with Yukon Emergency Medical Services.
