Overview
Historically, the property has shown significant mineralization potential. In 1948, the “Jefferson Deposit” was estimated to contain 91,000 tonnes* at 4.6% Zn and 3.3% Pb over 150 metres.
In 2006, Red Pine discovered the outcrop of a massive sulphide occurrence: the Vencan Zinc Showing. Located three kilometres west of the Jefferson Zinc-Lead deposit, Vencan drilling intercepted 4.22% Zn over 16.85 metres, including 7.27% Zn over 8.5 metres.
*These estimates (the “Estimates”) are historical mineral estimates within the meaning of National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”). A qualified person as defined by NI 43-101 has not done sufficient work to classify the Estimates as current mineral resources or mineral reserves and the Corporation is not treating the Estimates as current mineral resources or mineral reserves.
