Chakabesh Youth Centre
Responsible for planning, developing and implementing all social, recreational and special events for children and youth of the community.
- Provides various activities such as arts and crafts, video game nights, movie nights and sports events
- Organizes and supervises various outdoor activities for youth during summer months such as baseball, basketball, soccer, dodgeball and frisbee
- Assists with community events such as feasts, sports tournaments and Homecoming celebration
Community events and facilities include:
- Community hall
- Indoor arena (includes Fitness Centre)
- Outdoor rink, basketball court, baseball fields and track/field area
- Winter, spring and summer carnivals
- Bingos
- Raffles
- Radio/television auctions
- Rummage and bake sales
- Walkathons
