Child Care
Onigaming Child Care Centre will provide a positive learning experience for children that enhance his or her level of development. Through play experiences and guidance of specially trained staff, Children will have the opportunity to develop their social, physical, mental, and emotional well being. Our program follows the child's interest that fulfills the following goals:
- To provide the Onigaming children with a happy secure environment in which to grow
- To provide a variety of experiences to expand creativity and understanding
- To impart respect for each other, staff, community, nature and culture
- To promote knowledge of Ojibway Culture and Language
- To help the children develop a good self-image and a wholesome attitude toward their bodies and a good start towards realizing their potential
- To provide an opportunity to observe how each child is developing
- To encourage independence and self-expression
Stories, music, games, science experiences and art activity are selected based on the child's interests. Equipment and furnishings are designed with the development of the children in mind.
