Noront has initiated numerous community events including youth camps, bursaries, career fairs, public meetings, pow wows and other community functions.
Three examples of these are the Aboriginal Youth Mining Matters Camp, the Noront Ring of Fire Christmas Fund and the Noront Bursary.
PDAC Mining Matters Aboriginal Youth Outreach Summer Camp
Noront Resources Ltd. has partnered with the Ontario Ministry of Aboriginal Affairs and the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry to sponsor the PDAC Mining Matters Aboriginal Youth Outreach Summer Camp. The camp, which was originally created for 60 youth ages nine to nineteen, was an overwhelming success with a total of 104 campers. “It was a huge success for everyone” said Leanne Hall, Vice President of Human Resources at Noront Resources Ltd.

Noront Christmas Fund
The Noront Ring of Fire Christmas Fund was established in 2009. The fund has provided Christmas presents to over 400 children under the age of 12 in Marten Falls and Webequie.
