In today’s fast-paced, high-tech economy, skills training and upgrading are more important than ever. The reality is that many businesses and organizations have neither the time nor the staff to provide targeted training. Our professional, certified trainers offer classroom and e-learning training from our state-of-the-art training facility—or if you prefer, we can come to your location.
We offer the following training curricula:
• Proprietary, Ministry-approved Ontario Security Guard Licence training focused on the knowledge needed to write the provincial certification exam.
• Proprietary security guard training to the exacting standards of provinces and the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB), which ensures guards are work-ready when they leave the course, and equipped with the practical and technical skills to effectively and professionally carry out their responsibilities.
• First Aid, CPR and defibrillator training.
• Non-violent Strategies for Managing Crisis Situations, a course that provides participants with the behaviours and communications skills to de-escalate crisis situations.
• Dealing with Difficult People, a course that provides participants with insights and tools to minimize the impacts of conflict in the workplace on people and productivity.
• Use of Force training (in conjunction with our external partner), which exceeds the Ontario provincial requirements for security guards. This training provides participants with the theory and rigorous physical and practical sessions on the application of force, under the guidance of certified and recognized use of force trainers. (Note: a behavioural interview is required as part of the course selection process).
• Two supervisor development programs—one for employees who are new to the supervisory role or who have the potential to become supervisors, and one for senior level supervisors which is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to carry out their roles effectively.
• Highly interactive Leadership Development workshops geared to enhancing the leaderships skills of supervisors
