Cambrian College of Applied Arts

How to Apply

Sep 30, 2013
All applications are processed through ontariocolleges.ca, but admission decisions are made by the respective college. You may submit only one application form.

When filling out your application form, you must include the college codes and program codes on the application form. These codes are listed in the Ontario College Guide and on the ontariocolleges.ca website. Cambrian’s program codes are also included with each program in our printed Academic Viewbook and on our website.

Note: Applications to Cambrian’s English as a Second Language and Upgrading programs do not go through ontariocolleges.ca. Students apply directly to Cambrian College for these two programs.

Application Fee

There is a $95 non-refundable application fee for five program choices, with no more than three program choices at any one college.

Equal Consideration Date

To be considered on an equal basis, your application must be received at ontariocolleges.ca no later than February 1. After February 1, applications will be considered on a first come, first served basis, provided there are still vacancies in the program(s) of your choice. Use the Find Program feature on the ontariocolleges.ca website to find out which programs are still open and accepting applications.

Offers of Admission

The earliest date that Ontario Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology send out their offers of admission is February 1. At Cambrian College, all applicants to open enrolment programs will receive offers of admission starting February 1. For applicants to limited enrolment programs (PDF), offers of admission will be sent out no later than March 31. Applicants may accept only one offer of admission.

Confirmation of Acceptance

Confirm your acceptance of an offer online at www.ontariocolleges.ca or by calling the ontariocolleges.ca Customer Contact Centre at 1-888-892-2228Call: 1-888-892-2228. Do not mail your acceptance of an offer to ontariocolleges.ca.

May 1 is the deadline to confirm your offer of admission (conditional or final) with ontariocolleges.ca or risk losing your place if the program is oversubscribed.

Conditional Acceptance

Applicants granted conditional acceptance must satisfy all outstanding admission requirements before their acceptance can be finalized. This usually applies to students currently enrolled in secondary school or another educational institution at the time of application, and the conditional admission decision is based on interim grades. Please note that for students with conditional acceptance to limited enrolment programs, the selection benchmarks for those programs must be maintained in any courses/programs that are in progress at the time of the offer in order to finalize the acceptance. Students are encouraged to review the annual benchmarks for a particular program carefully before confirming an offer of admission.

Note: Students with conditional offers are still required to meet all published confirmation or payment deadlines.
