Drilling and Coring

Mar 17, 2014

Reliable, High Quality Core Samples are Essential

Gaining a precise picture of underground characteristics is vital information our customers need to find the best drilling targets, as well as to conduct effective environmental remediation programs. However, a large number of factors may impact the quality and reliability of core samples.

Exploration drilling takes place in remote, often saturated, and environmentally sensitive areas that can be difficult to reach. Environmental drilling programs are conducted under similar conditions, but may also be needed in urban areas, where knowledge of infrastructure and regulatory constraints becomes paramount.

Expertise to Solve Core Sampling Challenges

Tervita has the experienced people and advanced equipment to obtain high quality, reliable core samples for clients from all sectors of business and industry. Our company has been providing geotechnical, environmental and geological coring services to Western Canada for more than three decades. During that time we've encountered virtually every core sampling challenge. Our crew members are well-trained, have all required industry courses and safety certification and bring a problem-solving attitude to the field.

Since 2001, Tervita has increased our core sampling capabilities in Northern Alberta – developing the capacity to provide complete environmental drilling packages within and around the Athabasca Oil Sands to better service the leading oil sands producers we work with.
