The Economic Development Officer is responsible for project development of existing and new project endeavours by the First Nation, employment and training for members, capacity building for staff and members, and diversifying the portfolio of economic and community development.
 
Services Provided
 
Summer Student Employment Program
 
The summer student program was designed to create opportunities for our high school and post secondary students to obtain valuable job experience to develop their skills and capacity before choosing a career path. Students 15-29 are able to apply for the different positions posted each summer.
 
Employment/Business Services
 
The EDO is the liaison with external companies and organizations to obtain employment, training and contracting opportunities for the First Nation. The EDO also provides assistance to community members in resumes building, job applications and small business development.

Contract Supervisor at Barrick Hemlo

Communicate with all Contract Personnel and their supervisors for the completion of time-cards. Participate in interviews and investigations and report accordingly to the PRDC Contract Coordinator.
