Fall Protection Training

The objective of this course is to enable worker to recognize fall hazards and identify and apply fall protection controls, including fall prevention and fall arrest.

Utilities Safety Awareness Workshop

This two day course is designed to introduce students to safe working practices around utilities.

Vertical Mast and Telescopic Boom Forklift Operator
 
This two day course is designed to meet the hazard recognition and classroom training requirements for forklift operators from both the Ontario Ministry of Labour’s “Guideline for the Safe Operations and Maintenance of Powered Lift Trucks” and from CSA Standard B335-95 “Industrial Lift Truck Operator Training”.  The candidate shall be given practical (hands-on) instructions by demonstration of safe operation of the lift truck and newly taught operating skills shall be supported by operating experience.

This 5 day course is for students who wish to operate a basic 0-8 ton mobile crane and is in accordance with MTCU (Program P930030) pre-requisite requirements.

Traffic Hazard Awareness and Control

This course is designed to raise awareness of traffic and mobile equipment hazards to workers on foot caused by vehicles and heavy equipment on construction projects on or near public roadways.  This includes the ability to identify traffic control requirements.

Personnel and Material Hoist Operator
 
Upon completion of this 12 hour course each student will successfully operate a personnel and material hoist.  Theory training is supported by supervised practical training.

Confined Spaces Hazard Awareness
 
This 4 hour course is designed to raise awareness of confined space hazards and the controls required by law to minimize the risk of injury, serious illness, and death.  Upon completion of this course the student will be able to recognize confined spaces in construction, describe major hazards of confined spaces, and identify controls required for confined space entry.
