The Education Centre is situated in Frenchman’s Head, where the education director and the school counsellor’s work out of, the education centre has been up since 1990, and has been a facility used for training, tutoring for high school student’s in the evening’s and a place for them to hang out.

Morris Thomas Memorial School
 
Morris Thomas Memorial Christian School is located in the community of Whitefish Bay. This school has been in operation for 20 years under the direction of the Lac Seul Education Authority. M.T.M.C.S provides a positive learning environment which supports student challenges and inspires them to independently focus on learning achievements. The school staff is committed to providing excellent guidance and opportunities that engage the success of our students. The Morris Thomas Memorial Christian School enables students to balance the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of their lives everyday.

Obishikokaang Elementary School
 
Obishikokaang Elementary School in partnership with the community provides learning opportunities which support, challenge, and inspire all students. Students strive to achieve their full potential and their learning environment enables them to participate meaningfully in their community. Obishikokaang has a computer lab, industrial kitchen facility, library, gym and kindergarten to grade 8 classrooms. The school staff is committed to providing excellent learning opportunities in a centered environment.

Bachelor of Education
 
NNEC works in partnership with Brock University to deliver a Bachelor of Education program in Sioux Lookout that qualifies graduates to teach anywhere in Ontario in Kindergarten to Grade 6 classes.
 
This “Two Worlds”program places a strong emphasis on the linguistic and cultural gifts of the Anishinabek and includes indigenous knowledge and land-based curriculum. It is geared towards Aboriginal students who cannot undertake the traditional student role in a university, and helps train local people as culturally proficient and professionally competent teachers dedicated to the health and wellbeing of their communities.
 
The bachelor of education program is spread out over five years, with students leaving their communities for three weeks at a time to be taught in the Sioux Lookout region. Students will complete 20 credits of coursework and two credits of practicum through four courses per year; all students will complete three preparation courses in Anishinimowin, English and mathematics.
 
Waninitawingaang Memorial School
 
The Waninitawingaang Memorial School is located in the community of Kejick Bay. WMS has been in operation for 10 years under the guiding principals of the Lac Seul Education Authority. The students at WMS enjoy a wide variety of cultural activities and  enjoy the benefits of many online learning applications such as Reading Plus and Mathletics. This school has a designated space called an “Idea Room” in this learning environment, students are encouraged to explore their own creativity and make discoveries that reinforce their learning goals. The school staff is committed to providing differentiated learning opportunities that engage the success of our students.

Exploration Geologist

The Exploration Geologist role offers an exceptional opportunity to take on a mentorship role within the exploration team, providing expertise in the practical application of software, drill target generation, geologic interpretation, cost tracking/monitoring and contractor management or procurement.

Rock Mechanic Engineer

Project Assistant

Creation and entry of purchase orders, entry of packing slips/tickets, expense report submissions and reconciliation/closeout support of purchase orders into Valard Systems, payroll issue support, communicating with site and corporate payroll.

LAND PROTOCOLS COORDINATOR (Multi-year term)

This position will be responsible for coordination activities of the Land Protocols team and Elders Advisory Committee, coordination of procurement, shipment, tracking and distribution of supplies for land protocols work, creation of gift bundles, coordinating activities with communities, Wataynikaneyap Power, the First Nations Limited Partnership (FNLP) and the First Nations Partners service company (OSLP) and arrange for in-community assistance to the Land Protocols team.
