The Lloyd S. King Elementary School programs provide schooling for SK to Grade 8. The school is staffed by a principal, a secretary/office manager, a school counsellor, six classroom teachers, one special education resource teacher, an Ojibwe language instructor and four educational assistants.
 
Provides schooling for Senior Kindergarten to Grade 8.  Staffing consists of classroom teachers, educational assistants, a special education resource teacher and an Ojibway language instructor.  The school adheres to the Ontario Provincial Curriculum and undertakes the Education Quality and Assessment Organization (EQAO) testing for Grades 3 and 6 students.
 
 
HAGERSVILLE SECONDARY
 
The MCFN Education Department has a tuition agreement with the Grand Erie District School Board, allowing students to choose from a variety of schools within the GEDSB.  A part-time counsellor is available for all band members in the secondary school system.  As an incentive to students to stay in school and graduate, an allowance program was developed and is administered each semester.
 
 
Post-Secondary Services
 
MCFN Education Department is responsible to service post-secondary students from MCFN, and Inuit students living in Ontario.  All post-secondary students follow the MCFN policies.

Graduation awards program
 
In partnership with the MCFN Community Trust, graduation awards were established to recognize and reward those students who have completed elementary, secondary, college and university programs. Please contact our department for more information and an application.

Peacekeeper’s Coordinator

To work with the MCFN Governance Committee, Pillar 7, and the Peacekeepers Sub-Committee to coordinate and organize the creation and implementation of a MCFN Peacekeepers Program, reflective of the historical, cultural, and values of the Anishinaabe people and to engage the MCFN Community during the development of the Peacekeepers Program, ensuring that the values, responsibilities, and practices are reflective of their needs.

Minute Taker

To provide administrative support and minute taking functions to the Department of Consultation and Accommodation (DOCA), and to improve the organizational effectiveness by accurately recording, preparing and distributing meeting minutes of various DOCA and MCFN internal and external committees/events and by assisting in the preparation and coordination of special events.

Children's Mental Health Worker

Responsible for providing support to the community by identifying individuals who are in a high risk situation or expressing early signs and symptoms; providing individual/group counselling and service planning for children/youth up to 18 years of age, and assisting with the general unit administration.

Post Secondary Education Counsellor

To ensure the MCFN Education Post-Secondary tuition/services are administered and delivered in an effective and efficient manner pursuant to the MCFN policies by ensuring compliance with relevant MCFN policies and contracts.
