This one-day awareness course provides participants with a basic understanding of electrical hazards related to low voltage work and what is required to assess and control these hazards.
 
To obtain a certificate of completion for this program, participants must be present for the full program and achieve a grade of 70% or more on the written multiple-choice test.

  • Effects on electrical shock;
  • Safeguards;
  • Lockout, tagout;
  • Safe approach;
  • Working on energized systems;
  • Portable tools and extension cords;
  • Temporary wiring and power;
  • Other electrical issues;
  • General electrical safety tips;
  • Incident Reporting.
 
CERTIFICATION: Upon successful completion of the course, a wallet card and all necessary paperwork for each participant will be submitted to the employer as proof of training.
