Technicians for Pepper Maintenance, Inc. undergo extensive training conducted by the Academy of Infrared Thermography (AIRT), based in Bellingham, WA, and Coquitlam, BC. All Pepper Maintenance technicians are certified Level I, Level II, or Level III thermographers. Pepper uses services and providers recognized around the world as experts in vibration education and the application of vibration technologies to train our personnel to a high level of proficiency in a vibration program designed specifically for the industries we serve.

AIRT is an independent education institute dedicated to providing the highest standard of infrared instruction on a global scale. The AIRT staff of seasoned thermographers have trained individuals worldwide for over 25 years. Level I, II and III courses, based on the American Society of Nondestructive (ASNT) Training program and guidelines are regularly scheduled at locations in the United States, Canada, and throughout the world. The Academy is a full spectrum training and support company. Level III staff provide assistance with complete infrared programs: equipment evaluation, personnel training and certification (ASNT, ISO), application training, program development and implementation, application development and consulting services.

Level I Infrared Certification

Level I Infrared Certification instructs technicians how to properly use infrared cameras to collect quality data. Technicians learn how to calculate accurate, repeatable temperature measurements. This course covers critical camera parameters such as emissivity, reflected ambient and distance to target. Students trained by the Academy of Infrared Training, Inc. learn infrared thermographic interpretation through class exercises and supervised in-field examples. A wide variety of thermography applications are covered in these courses.

Academy of Infrared Training Inc.'s Level I Infrared Certification training course material was submitted to the InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) for recognition as a Continuing Technical Development (CTD) Program. The course was reviewed and recognized by NETA's Standards Review Council.

Level II Infrared Training Certification

This course is designed to meet SNT-TC-1A recommended practice for Level II Infrared Thermography. This hands-on course assists in furthering operating skills, developing new inspection procedures and applications, advancing the technicians infrared P/PM program or consulting services, utilizing IR trending or software programs, performing advanced NDT applications and attaining superior measurement skills for improved accuracy and diagnosis. Advanced theory, applications, equipment operations, thermal analysis and inspection techniques are presented in a hands-on fashion.
