Dredging and Lagoon Cleaning

Tervita offers extensive experience and expertise in dredging ponds, lagoons, lakes and waterways – services vital to organizations who need to maintain the efficient performance of the these wastewater treatment systems that contain industrial and/or municipal solids.   

 
Dredging 
 
We use auger dredges to remove and pump the slurry through a pipeline to specified locations or to our centrifuge dewatering operations. 
 
Our dredging capabilities include:
• lined or unlined lagoons
• lakes, rivers, canals
• municipal, pulp & paper, industrial
• a variety of cutterhead styles for different slurries
• dredges for different working depths and pumping rates
 
The specialized nature of dredging projects requires experienced operating technicians who are fully conversant with dredging equipment, operations and safety practices.  All of our dredging operating technicians are required to wear full personal protective equipment, including steel-toed boots, hard hats and life jackets when performing dredging operations. 

 
Lagoon Cleaning 
 
Tervita provides lagoon-cleaning services for a wide variety of clients, such as municipalities, pulp and paper mills, food processing plants as well as other industrial facilities that use lagoons or basins to treat their wastewater.  
 
In addition to our cleaning services, Tervita is equipped to perform sludge profiling to determine the volume of the solids built up within a lagoon or pond.  We are also fully equipped to perform physical and chemical analysis on material samples to determine a variety of solutions for the dredging of the different materials.
