The glass industry relies on Albarrie’s Defender™ high temperature felt handling products for the conveyance and handling of glass through several post production processes, including tempering, laminating, bending and cutting. Our engineered technical nonwoven fabrics give our felt pads unmatched durability, cushioning and protection, ensuring all glass conforms to our customers’ strict quality standards.
We can also manufacture custom fabricated parts made from high temperature felts or composite felts, including pusher bar paddles, star wheels, stacker bars and lehr loaders.
FULLBACK ROLLERS
These ultra high density compressed felt rollers offer the ultimate combination of quality, durability, and precision manufacturing. They are ideal for use in aluminum extrusion handling systems for lead-out and run-out tables and quench tanks in place of graphite or light weight roller covers.
The unique high compression Kevlar® felt design provides superior protection and unsurpassed durability for conveying high temperature, heavy weight extrusion profiles.
Each roller is precision-engineered and custom-fabricated to your specifications. Several design options are available, including custom profiling, edge guides, bearings, shafts, and stainless steel.
Albarrie stands behind the quality and durability of these premium rollers by offering a lifetime service plan. If a roller becomes worn after prolonged use, return it to Albarrie for refurbishment at substantial savings over the cost of replacement.

ROLLER COVERS
Our Defender™ roller covers offer an extremely uniform and seamless felt tube of unparalleled quality, thanks to the spiraled needlepunch process used in their fabrication. They’re ideal for protecting sensitive or surface-critical products from dents, scratches and marking caused by roller handling systems.
Each roller cover is made-to-order to ensure a precise slip-fit in accordance with your existing roller specifications. Several fabric and coating combinations are available based on temperature and abrasion resistance requirements. All roller covers are available in soft or resin treated for enhanced abrasion resistance.
