Golden Triangle Overview

Several Major Exploration Projects in the Golden Triangle Mineral District, British Columbia

Northwestern British Columbia hosts two of Canada's most significant mineral deposits: Barrick Gold's Eskay Creek Mine and NovaGold/Teck Resources' massive copper-gold-silver Galore Creek Project. In 2011, NovaGold filed a Preliminary Feasibility study for developing the Galore Creek orebody using an MI&I resource of 5.2 million ounces of gold, 82 million ounces of silver and 5.3 billion pounds of copper.

Since late 2004, Romios Gold Resources Inc. has systematically acquired an extensive land position between NovaGold/Teck Resources' and Barrick Gold's properties. Romios' mineral tenures contain many exposures of surface mineralization; continued exploration and development of the mineral potential on these lands has led to the discovery of several mineralized zones and a substantial rise in asset value.

Romios' Project in the Golden Triangle Area comprise surface and subsurface mineralization for over 50 kilometers; including options, this equates to an aggregate total of ~73,000 hectares.

Our most advanced projects include Newmont Lake & Trek, with developing exploration targets at Royce, Porc, and JW.

The Newmont Lake and Trek projects are located near developing infrastructure including: AltaGas' under-construction McLymont River Hydropwer Project (Newmont Lake); NovaGold-Teck Resources' proposed mill site (Trek); and, the provincially-funded extension of the existing power grid into the northwestern B.C area.

Future Galore Creek Area Work Programs

  • Newmont Lake Project: '72 Zone, Ken Zone, and Northwest Zone resource upgrade
  • Trek Property: North Zone 43-101 resource definition and property-wide exploration advancement
  • Preliminary Economic Assessment of the Newmont Lake area to include the existing Newmont Lake Property's Northwest Zone NI 43-101 Inferred Resource, mining infrastructure and access.
