GardaWorld was recently taken private by a group led by GardaWorld’s Founder, Chairman and CEO Stephan Cretier in a transaction valued at C$1.1 billion. This private ownership, with financial backing from leading private equity investment group Apax Partners, allows the company to pursue its organic and acquisitive growth strategy more efficiently.
GardaWorld is the first and only cash services company in North America to provide clients with the International Standards for Assurance Engagements (ISAE 3402). This Certification of rigorous controls is meant to safeguard our clients’ assets and information.

Industry standards of conduct
At GardaWorld we have played a central role in the development of international industry codes of conduct.
We are a founding signatory of the International Code of Conduct for Private Security Service Providers (ICoC), a member of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) and the International Security Management Association (ISMA), and adhere to the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR).
