Premier Gold Mines Ltd.

Hasaga

May 29, 2020

Overview

The Hasaga Property occurs proximal to a regional unconformity near the south margin of the Dome stock in the Red Lake mining camp. The past-producing Hasaga and Howey mines represented the first significant mining in the camp with production up until the early 1950’s.

The Property’s significant production history, lack of recent exploration, and occurrence along a major regional new structure all suggest the potential for new discoveries to be made.

Since acquisition, Premier has identified a series of near-surface deposits and also a higher-grade zone (“Epp-Zone”) that could be amenable to underground mining methods.

Location

The Hasaga Property is located in the heart of the Red Lake gold mining district in Northwestern Ontario. The communities of Red Lake, Balmertown and Cochenour are serviced by a regional paved highway, airport and provide an abundant source of diversely skilled labour.

Geology

Located in the Archean-aged Red Lake Greenstone Belt (RLGB), within the Uchi Sub-province of the Superior Structural Province. Gold mineralization at the Hasaga Property occurs within the Hasaga Porphyry, a quartz-porphyry dyke emplaced within the Balmer Assemblage along a regional shear zone. A second style of mineralization is found within the Dome Stock, a granodiorite intrusion consisting of disseminated quartz-tourmaline veinlets in association with the Laverty Dyke, a mafic intrusion within the Dome Stock.
