Nursing services are provided at the Muskeg Thunder Clinic five days a week. Health staff provide nursing support services for health promotion and community-based health programs related to mental health and addictions, prenatal and maternal health, home care, early childhood development and others. An Environmental Health Officer also supports the community. Medical transportation for clients is provided by a local contractor.

A new health facility is in the design stages and is being planned to enhance nursing services to the community to replace the Muskeg Thunder Clinic.

Other health initiatives such as Crisis Team Coordination, family support, prevention and intervention programs are provided by NAN, Matawa and province services.

Tikanagan Child and Family Services, based in Sioux Lookout, Ontario provides child welfare intervention and support to families at risk with a local support person employed in Marten Falls First Nation.
