Land Use

Jan 21, 2021

Since 2009, Constance Lake has made significant progress towards a Land Use Plan for its traditional territories. We now have a draft Terms of Reference. We have started informing and consulting with Elders, the youth and the community in general. We have also presented the draft to the Chief and members of the Band Council. We are publishing the Terms of Reference on this page so that all community members and Band members living off reserve, can access and read the text of the Terms of Reference at their leisure and at their own pace.If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to communicate with me or talk to a member of the Working Group.

If you would like to comment, ask questions or express your opinion on the Terms of Reference you can go the CLFN Land Use Blog at the following address: http://clfnlanduseplan.wordpress.com/

On the Blog you will also find information on the history of Land Use Planning, why it is important for the community, what is the role of the “Constance Lake Land Use Planning Working Group (CLFN LUP Working Group)”, what are the next steps in completing the Land Use Plan and more. The Blog will be updated regularly on progress made. You will also be informed of upcoming community meetings and workshops.
