COVID 19 Vaccinations for Matachewan First Nation

Feb 4, 2021
At this time we are working with the Timiskaming Health Unit to provide vaccinations to our residents of Matachewan First Nation. Our first priority is to ensure our most vulnerable residents are given the chance to receive the vaccine ASAP.

Residents of MFN can expect a phone call and/or email in the next few days from Health Staff to discuss vaccine options and the current plan of distribution.

Our members who reside off reserve will be asked to contact their respective health units to inquire about receiving the vaccine in the area that they reside in. Vaccine is allocated to communities based on population which restricts the ability to accommodate members from outside our area.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding the vaccine please contact the Community Health Nurse,
