Guy has a Business and Chemical engineering background, starting his career as a research engineer in the petrochemical industry. He then accumulated experiences in the Chemical (CEFIC) and Metal Industry associations (Eurometaux and International Council on Mining and Metals) in Europe and worldwide to defend the interest of industry. He has held leading positions in environment and product policy, and chaired the Coordination Group of all metals and mining associations member of ICMM.

Anne is responsible for organizing and coordinating the office administration and procedures that facilitate the smooth running of the office. She is the contact person for all HR and administrative topics, and also assists the Director General.
Anne joined Eurometaux at the end of 2003 after working for two other international associations (Eureka Technology and Audio visual Eureka).
Violaine Verougstraete

Violaine coordinates Eurometaux's Chemicals Management activities, since 2012. She studied medicine and industrial toxicology at the Catholic University of Louvain, and obtained her PhD in Public Health in 2005. She worked as a researcher at the University's Industrial Toxicology and Occupational Medicine Unit for 8 years before joining Eurometaux in 2005, to manage all scientific activities and projects.

Elena Vyboldina leads Eurometaux's International Trade department. Before Eurometaux, she worked in CEFIC, the European Council of Chemical Industry (Cefic), DG Trade at the European Commission, and a leading Brussels-based law firm. She holds a Master’s degree in International Law and Economics, as well as two Bachelor’s degrees in law and economics.

Cillian O’Donoghue leads Eurometaux's Climate and Energy activities, mainly dealing with the EU Emissions Trading System, electricity power market design and the EU’s Energy Union agenda. Prior to this, he worked for five years at FleishmanHillard, where he specialised in EU Climate & Energy legislation. He spent time at the European Commission DG Energy, where he focused on gas security of supply in Central Europe and beforehand as a journalist. He holds MAs in both Economics and International Relations & European Studies.

Chris is in charge of all Eurometaux communication activities, including media relations, digital outreach and events. He also provides public affairs support across Eurometaux departments. Chris joined Eurometaux in 2014, after 3 years working at Kellen, a global Association Management consultancy. He holds a BA in English Literature from University College London, and an MA in European Politics from Leiden University.

Kamila joined Eurometaux in March 2017 and she is in charge of the Sustainability Department. Her professional experience includes working in an environmental consultancy (eko-net.pl) advising amongst others on the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). In 2006 she joined CECED, representing household appliance industry, where she dealt with energy efficiency, e-waste and chemical matters. Later on she moved to CECIMO being responsible for ecodesign, standardisation, EU funded projects and other technical dossiers relevant to machine tools sector. Kamila studied Environmental Protection and Management in Poland at Gdansk University of Technology (BSc) and Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (MSc).

Nathalie joined Eurometaux in March 2017 to support the Chemicals Management Department on regulatory related issues. Starting on Industrial Emissions and Nanomaterials, later she took over the water policy related activities.
Previously she worked at the VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH with responsibilities in policy consultation and public relations in sustainability and environmental matters for the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Nathalie is a graduate candidata agronomiae from the University of Copenhagen and holds a MSc in Environmental Science from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna (BOKU). A German and Polish native, she is fluent in English and speaks also Dutch and French.

Noam joined Eurometaux’s Chemicals Management Department in January 2020. Prior to this, he was a public affairs consultant working on product sustainability and chemicals policies. He holds a Master’s degree in European Studies from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, alongside another one in Journalism from the University of the Arts London. Of Moroccan and Belgian nationality, Noam speaks English, French and Arabic, with a touch of Spanish.

Lorenzo joined the Eurometaux Chemicals Management Team in 2016 to provide support on REACH-related activities. He previously spent 9 years in the European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers’ Association, where he coordinated and managed chemicals and health & safety industry actions; besides supporting the enhancement of supply chain interactions and relations with European authorities, he contributed to the development and implementation of an industry programme to monitor and prioritise more than one thousand rubber chemicals. Lorenzo is also the Founder and Managing Director of Chemycal.com, a pioneering web-based tool that he personally designed in 2011 to monitor chemical regulatory systems around the world. Lorenzo holds a MSc in Environmental Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy), a MSc in Chemical Engineering and a MA in Sustainable Infrastructures from the Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm, Sweden).

Hugo works on activities related to chemicals management at Eurometaux. He has been closely involved in REACH and CLP discussions since 2002, and now represents the metals sector as an observer in ECHA-REACH committees. Hugo has an educational background in ecotoxicology and environmental management and economics from Ghent University, as well as a degree from Vlerick management school. He had more than 15 years of experience in industry amongst others on chemicals management aspects before joining Eurometaux.

Since 2012, Federica supports the Eurometaux Chemicals Management team on all REACH related activities with impact on the non-ferrous metals sector and is involved in the development of adequate scientific methodology for the assessment of complex inorganic substances. Federica has been working on the application of the EU REACH Regulation, since its very beginning, supporting registrants with their REACH duties, dossier preparation and alternative testing strategy. Federica holds a MSc in Environmental Engineering (Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy) and a European MSc in Risk Assessment and Risk Analysis (University of Milan, Italy).

Laura joined Eurometaux in September 2017 and supports Eurometaux’s Communication and Sustainability departments. She previously worked in a communication agency organising events for the European institutions. Laura holds a BA in European Languages and Cultures and a MA in Business Communications. An Italian native, she is fluent in English and French and also speaks Spanish and German.

Aida supports Eurometaux’s Energy department since May 2018. Previously, she worked for International trade and Digital Marketing consultancies. She holds a BA in International Trade with a thesis in Iran road transport market access. A Spanish native, Aida is fluent in English, French and also speaks Portuguese.

Sharon joined Eurometaux in January 2020 and supports the International Trade Department. Previously, she worked for Fondation EURACTIV as Communications & Projects Assistant. An Italian native, she is fluent in English and French.

Ailsa is the second Chemicals Management Assistant. She assists the Chemicals Management Department’s Managers and Director. She is also responsible for general administration and accounting and the edition of the monthly Chemicals Management News. Ailsa joined Eurometaux in June 2011 after working for 12 years in a Business Centre in Brussels.

Giorgia takes care of general support and reception for the Eurometaux team. Before her arrival in May 2018, she worked for a customer and brand management company as a senior customer consultant. She has also some experience in social media management and as a freelance translator. An Italian native, she is fluent in English and has a good knowledge of French.
Gaëlle Daubechies

Gaëlle supports the Chemicals Management Directors and Managers, together with Ailsa. She has a degree in Secretarial work and Tourism and an extensive experience in hosting and administration. Before joining our team, she worked as a Secretary in a real estate company and as Secretary of operations for Veolia, taking care of European institutional clients. Gaëlle is Belgian and speaks French and English, as well as a bit of Dutch and Spanish.
