Dr. Hebestreit is the Director of Euromines. She has 20 years of experience in the mining sector, from primary raw materials to marketing of end products. Over the years she has built an extensive network in the industry and academia.

Mr. Drielsma is the Deputy Director of Euromines. An environmental engineer by training, he spent the first 10 years of his career gaining industrial experience in mining of raw materials as well as research and product applications. He has been representing Euromines since 2005.

Mrs. Sochorova is communication manager, with industrial experience in corporate communication in a large multinational company. She is in charge of the communication strategy for EU institutions and companies all over the world.

After some years in an exploration company, with Euromines since 2008 she has been coordinating the industry´s response to the REACH regulations. Building on the original training she took over the communication issues, in particular electronic communication and public relations issues.

Mirona has been active in the EU environment-related affairs sector since 2002. Having worked in industry sector for both public and private organizations, at national and international level, Mirona has developed a genuine interest in understanding the importance of integrated European, national and local policies with regards to environmental issues.

Alexandre Marin has a BA in French and Spanish law and received his training at various law companies (LMBEavocats, Orrick Rambaud Martel) and at the EFTA Court.
Jaap van Nes
Environmental and Water Manager

Jaap joined Euromines in December 2018. He is a hydrogeologist by training and has previously been working in international environmental consulting and site remediation contracting, among which twelve years in Chile. Jaap worked on several water resources projects and remediation pilots for South American mining. Within Euromines Jaap is working on EU water issues within the environmental team.

With more than 20 years of experience in secretarial/administrative field in different sectors, Azi has worked in private sectors such as import/export, hotel industry and in international associations. Her experience includes general administrative duties, office management and book-keeping. Happy to join the Euromines team, she is in charge of administrative/organisational tasks and assists the Director in her daily requirements.
