Marz Kord, M.Sc., P.Eng., MBA
PRESIDENT & CEO AND DIRECTOR
 
Mr. Kord is a professional mining engineer with over 30 years of progressive experience in mining operations and project management. Prior to joining Wallbridge in 2011, he held the position of Executive Vice President, Global Mining for  Genivar Inc., a large  Canadian firm, (now WSP Global), where he led the development and growth of the company’s domestic and international mining profile. During the early part of his career with Falconbridge Limited, Mr. Kord was involved in mining operations in both Sudbury and Timmins. Mr. Kord's expertise includes managing large, multidisciplinary teams of engineers and operators as well as extensive experience in developing strategic growth plans and in mergers and acquisitions.
 
 
Brian W. Penny, CPA, CMA
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
 
Mr. Penny is a Chartered Professional Accountant with over 30 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning and financial reporting. Formerly, Mr. Penny was the Executive Vice President and CFO of New Gold Inc., a multi-national mining company, from 2009 until 2017; the Vice President of Finance and CFO of Kinross Gold Corporation, one of the world's largest gold producers from 1993 until 2004; the CFO of Western Goldfields Inc. from 2006 to 2009; and the CFO of Silver Bear Resources Plc from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Penny also formerly served as a member of the Board of Directors of Equinox Minerals Limited from 2004 to 2011 when it was acquired by Barrick Gold Corporation; Alamos Gold Inc. from 2005 to 2008; and Baffinland Iron Mines Limited  from 2004 to 2008. In addition, he has been a director of Maverix Metals Inc. since July 2019.  Mr. Penny obtained his Diploma in Business-Accounting and Finance from Cambrian College and is a CPA, CMA. 
 

Francois Demers, P.Eng
VICE PRESIDENT, MINING AND PROJECTS
 
Mr. Demers is a professional mining engineer with nearly 20 years of experience in the mining industry. He began his career in consulting and quickly moved on to operations. He joined Inco Limited (now Vale) as a labourer and over the course of 14 years, progressed through roles with  increasing responsibility in both Engineering and Operations. At the end of his tenure with Vale, Mr. Demers spent four years as Mine Manager of Creighton Mine. In 2016, Mr. Demers moved to the role of General Manager of Sudbury Operations with KGHM International where he had regional accountability for all aspects of the business. Mr. Demers is known for his commitment to safe and responsible operations as well as his leadership and drive for continuous improvement. He has a strategic mindset and a keen ability for building teams and instilling a performance culture that is supported by the systems and processes needed to ensure sustainable business practices.  In addition, Frank is President of Lonmin Canada Inc.
 
 
Mary Montgomery, CPA, CA
VP FINANCE
 
Ms. Montgomery has previously held senior positions with a number of companies associated with the mining industry in Sudbury. Prior to joining Wallbridge in 2007, she was the Director of Finance for the Sudbury YMCA. Ms. Montgomery is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree and is a member of CPA Canada and CPA Ontario. She previously also held the position of CFO of Miocene from April 2010 to June 2015 and CFO of Wallbridge from September 2007 to December 2018. In addition, she is a CFO of Lonmin Canada Inc.
 

Attila Péntek, M.Sc., P.Geo., Ph.D.
VICE-PRESIDENT OF EXPLORATION
 
Dr. Péntek is a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo., PGO) with over 12 years of national and international experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry as well as economic geology research. He obtained both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary in collaboration with Carleton University in Ottawa. Dr. Péntek has been involved with Wallbridge since 2005; most recently as Senior Geologist he was responsible for the resource geology and review of new opportunities including the Fenelon Project and acted as Project Manager for the Company's Broken Hammer open-pit mine. He is currently President of the Sudbury Prospectors and Developers Association (SPDA).
 
 
Sean Stokes, BA, MBA
CORPORATE SECRETARY
 
Mr. Stokes has close to 30 years of experience in business development, finance, communications and as a Corporate Secretary with a broad range of publicly-traded and private companies primarily in the metals and mining sector, including Scandinavian Minerals Limited, Tiberon Minerals Limited, Orvana Minerals Corp., Geomaque Explorations Limited, Victory Nickel Inc. and Nuinsco Resources Limited.
