Mineral Resources Development Fund
As a result of MANS’ lobbying, the provincial government established a Mineral Incentive Program in 2012 to encourage prospecting and exploration in the province.
That program was significantly expanded in 2018 and its name changed to the Mineral Resources Development Fund (MRDF). The MRDF is a grant program that supports prospecting, advanced exploration, minerals-related research and public education.
MANS applauded the launch of the MRDF and appreciates the provincial government’s strong support of the industry through initiatives such as this.
