Story Environmental Inc. provides services during all five stages of the mining cycle: Exploration, Advanced Exploration, Mine Development, Mine Production and Mine Closure. Our northern Ontario presence and knowledge of the associated regulations and contacts with the regulators (Ministry of Natural Resources, Department of Fisheries and Oceans, Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry, and Ministry of the Environment) are helpful during the permitting and application process.

We conduct work in the following areas:

• Completion and implementation of Project Definition statement prior to Advanced Exploration and Mine Development;
• Environmental Baseline Studies;
• Surface water sampling programs (analysis, design and implementation);
• Groundwater sampling programs (analysis, design and implementation);
• Environmental Site Assessments;
• Metal Leaching and Acid Rock Drainage programs;
• Environmental Compliance Approval applications; (waste disposal sites, Industrial Sewage Works, Air and Noise, Permits to Take Water);
• Compliance monitoring;
• Air and noise monitoring;
• Design of wastewater treatment facilities and preparation of the associated Environmental Compliance Approval;
• Benthic and fish studies;
• Design of vegetative covers for tailings stabilization and management; and
• Development of Closure Plans and associated Financial Assurance requirements.

Our personnel have extensive experience with Public and Aboriginal consultation, including:

• Preparation of Public Notices;
• Conducting Open House / Information Sessions;
• Conducting Table Top sessions with concerned stakeholders; and
• Assisting with the resolution of stakeholder's concerns.
