The Norman Recollet Health Centre provides a wide range of culturally integrated health programs and services to promote awareness through educational events, activities and supports for the residents and members of our growing community, Wahnapitae First Nation.

Community Support Services 
  • Supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities
  • helps people remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible
  • referral to other community services
 
Congregate Dining
Group meals include a prepared supper meal once a month (usually on the 3rd Thu of the month) for people on the Wahnapitae First Nation
 
Meals on Wheels
Hot meal delivered every Tue * special diet types available
 
Personal Emergency Response Systems
  • Medical alert system
  • allows older adults and people with disabilities to call for assistance using a help button
  • 24-hour emergency response
 
Senior Transportation
Non-emergency transportation to local medical appointments and regular activities such as grocery shopping and banking
 
Community Wellness 
  • Supports for people living with prediabetes or diabetes
  • one-one-one or group consultation on monitoring blood sugar levels, medications, healthy eating, exercise, and other lifestyle choices
 
Community Wellness Worker Program
Provides health related workshops, referrals to community agencies and holds community events
 
Home and Community Care
  • Supports for older adults, and adults with disabilities
  • helps people remain independent in their own homes
  • culturally appropriate services for Aboriginals
 
Case Management and Care Coordination  
  • Works with individuals, health, and social services providers to coordinate appropriate needs
  • refers to other internal services and programs as well as outside agencies
 
Home Maintenance Program
Offers services such as snow removal and yard maintenance to assist older adults to remain independent in their own home
 
Homemaking  
Assistance with daily chores such as laundry, light housekeeping, pet care, errands, shopping, and meal preparation
 
In-Home Personal Support  
Supports for the activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping
 
Medical Transportation Coordination 
Coordinates medical transportation services and assists with medical appointments in other communities

Public Works Manager

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Public Works Manager is responsible for safe and efficient supervision of the daily operations, including manpower and equipment, to ensure cost-effective delivery of roads services within their defined area, in accordance with applicable legislation, corporate policy and objectives.

Band Representative

This position requires the incumbent to advocate, represent registered and affiliated First Nation members that are involved with any and all Child Welfare Agencies throughout Canada.

General Manager – Rocky’s Restaurant & Marina

The manager will be responsible for leading restaurant operations with a focus on beverage, hospitality, service and culinary. 

Line Cook – Rocky’s Restaurant & Marina

The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary, and consistent manner.

Server – Rocky’s Restaurant & Marina

The Server will be responsible for providing consistent high levels of customer service to all restaurant patrons by providing prompt service, taking accurate orders, and maintaining a strong working knowledge of all menu items and daily specials.

Community Health Nurse

The Community Health Nurse will actively provide services and care to Wahnapitae First Nation members, both on and off reserve.
