Iskatewizaagegan No. 39 Independent First Nation’s Minweyaanigoziwin Family Well-Being program is a community based program with front-line services and safe places where children, youth and families can access and receive culturally responsive supports that address the root causes of family violence and over-representation of indigenous children in care.
The Position of Cultural Coordinator will work in a team environment with the Family Advocate Program Model and ensure that that all services provided to our children and youth are culturally-appropriate and nurture their Anishinaabe identity and belonging.
The Director of Operations is responsible for the management, administration and delivery of all Nation programs and services in order to ensure that the needs of IIFN members are met in a reasonable effective and efficient manner.
The main objectives of this program are to increase the number of community members in the database from 155 to 200. As the program assistant, you will work with the Employment & Training Coordinator to ensure that the collection of surveys is completed by March 31, 2021.
The Family Support Workers will work closely with Prevention Team to assist with families, youth and children to navigate services internally and externally to increase access to health, social, education related appointments or referrals in a safe and trusting manner.
