Omega Mine

Located in the prolific Kirkland Lake / Cadillac - Larder Lake Break, Omega is Mistango's Flagship Project with a gold resource of 580,000 ounces. Omega is proximal to Gatling Exploration's Larder Lake Project (~1M ounces) and Orefinders' Kirkland Lake / Cadillac - Larder Lake Break projects (~1.1M ounces), and shares numerous synergies with the aforementioned. Mistango is focused on developing its Omega project. 

Background

Omega is located 30km East of Kirkland Lake on 15 leased claims and two patents. Two historical production shafts exists on the property, which historically has produced ~215,000 ounces at 5.41 gpt between 1926 - 1928 and 1936 - 1947.

Exploration Potential
 
 
Laguerre Zone Extension: mineralization is contained within a mixture of north trending porphyry dykes and Temiskaming sediments, extending on to the Omega property.​
 
Southwest Zone: significant gold intersections in the Temiskaming sediments immediately south of the Cadillac-Larder Lake Break.
 
Lamprophyres: potential lamprophyres in the southwestern part of the Omega property delineated from historical core logs. 1 micro diamond was identified by the Government of Ontario, just north of the village of Larder Lake.
