We are a partners in
OUR COMMUNITY

Operating in over 2,200 locations across the country, Compass Group Canada touches the lives of Canadians each and every day.

We believe we are partners in the communities in which our associates live and work and our objective is to actively promote, support, and engage with these communities through charitable giving, employee volunteerism, and investment initiatives.

Nourish

Nourish, a Compass Group Canada initiative, was created to positively impact a serious and growing problem across Canada – food insecurity.

In partnership with Food Banks Canada, Compass aims to increase the amount and diversity of fresh, nutritious food available to Canadian families-in-need. Through our community gardens initiative, food bank clients will have access to more fresh, nourishing food as well as educational programming to ensure high levels of participation in fresh food adoption, food preparation, and healthy eating.

CCAB - Canadian Council for
ABORIGINAL BUSINESS

Compass co-chairs the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) and has consistently achieved Gold Level Certification in the CCAB’s Progressive Aboriginal Relations program.

SCHOLARSHIPS AND BURSARIES

Chartwells, a Compass operating sector, is proud to recognize and encourage educational excellence. In 2016, Chartwells provided over $600,000 in scholarships and bursaries to deserving students across Canada.

Junior Achievement

Compass Group Canada partners annually with Junior Achievement as mentors in the Company Program.

This is a unique experience in which local high school students are mentored over a 19-week period to create their own company. Every facet of an actual company is created including a company name, logo, website, corporate departments, product or service offering, marketing, sales, and liquidation.

CAMPUS COMMUNITY GARDENS

Campus Community Gardens provide hands-on opportunities for community members, students, staff, faculty, and residents to learn about sustainable food systems. Selling produce can also help to off-set operational costs, finance expansion, and generate revenue for the campus or community while creating interdisciplinary learning opportunities, fostering community space, and providing practical experiential education.
