International Council on Mining & Metals (ICMM)
Our organisation
The mining and metals industry can play a significant role in catalysing social and economic development. We believe that by encouraging closer collaboration among industry leaders we can help alleviate poverty and give people access to a better life.
To do this, ICMM brings together 27 mining and metals companies and 38 national and regional associations giving us a truly global reach. All member companies are represented on our Council of CEOs (our highest decision-making body) and on our Principal Liaisons Committee – sitting alongside two nominated representatives from our member associations.
This collaboration is supported by continuous dialogue with a broad range of stakeholders, including governments, international organisations, representatives of communities and indigenous peoples, civil society, academia and other industrial sectors in the value chains of minerals and metals.
