Jun 19, 2020

Our shareholder structure reflects the group’s mission and guiding principles. It represents our willingness to share and to do things differently. That’s why each division now has several shareholders who are all part of the next generation.

Within the Mundial Group, advancement has no limits! Our shareholders have all started at the foot of the ladder and are proof that our philosophy gets results. With an average of more than 10 years of experience in our companies, they have all become experts in their field and mentors for our teams.

Shareholder & Founder

Louis Veilleux
Metal Bernard CEO

Louis describes himself as an industrial philosopher. He strongly believes in Mundial Group’s mission: To build a stronger, more compassionate and environmentally friendly manufacturing industry and to create value for future generations. Louis fully believes in the necessity of sharing and helping one another and that these, often underestimated elements, are always found at the heart of the biggest success stories.

His vision, contagious energy, passion for people and compassionate values make Louis a contractor and a coach who inspires his whole team.

As a dreamer, he believes he can change the world! As a realistic person, he has surrounded himself with amazing teams of people who make his vision of peace, joy and love a reality in a context of productivity and continuous improvement.

MÉTAL BERNARD INC.

René Tremblay

As the father of four beautiful children and a husband to his beautiful wife, René considers himself to be among the happiest. Director of Inter-Factory Operations for Metal Bernard and Normandin inc., his role is to promote collaboration between the two companies. He is the standard-bearer of Mundial Group’s mission.

After studying metallurgy, he began working at Metal Bernard as a quality technician. Over the past 12 years, he has continued to hone his skills through continuous improvement. He loves teamwork and believes that people who have found their place in a group are connected. He loves to train, coach and help team members develop and gain confidence.

René creates a feeling of family wherever he goes. He is a leader who promotes talent. For him, human resources and the team’s development are priorities that make a lasting, positive difference within an organization.

Jonathan Lachance
Purchasing Manager

Jonathan chose to work in supply because he is a man of action who loves challenges and the adrenalin they provide! For him, coming to work every morning is always a source of motivation. There is nothing monotonous about this job and that’s what he loves.

When he is not giving 100% at work, Jonathan dedicates his time to his wife and three children. He enjoys the little things in life, such as family movie nights, good food, wine and gathering with friends.

An energetic perfectionist, he can always make those around him laugh. If someone needs help, he is always happy to lend a hand.

Manon Viel
HR Manager
Manon joined the team in 2005.

«Louis and Mario conducted my job interview. Professionally, it was an instant, perfect match and the beginning of a great adventure!»

With a BA in industrial relations, Manon has always been interested in human resources management, particularly psychology, labour law and labour relations. Deeply involved in continuous improvement since she joined Metal Bernard, she is passionate about human development. Listening, advising, coaching and providing problem-solving strategies: Manon is always available for team members, the management team and other Mundial Group entities.

Recipient of the Proactive HR prize at the Pléiades in 2015 and the Proactive Labour Management prize at the Mercuriades in 2016, Manon is adamant that “a trophy is won by the entire team and Metal Bernard is an extraordinary team!”

Manon believes in simplicity: she enjoys life’s wonderful moments with her children, good food with friends, travel and outdoor activities.

François Bougie
CDMB Group Leader

Having started in the Folding department in 1998, François is the manager with the most seniority. He advanced quickly and, six months after his arrival, he had already become the head of the folding team. After holding this position for over 11 years, he continued his progress by becoming head of the evening group and then head of the CDMB group, another division of Mundial Group, located in the same factory as Metal Bernard.

Even though he has studied in wildlife conservation, François quickly found his place in metals.

At Metal Bernard, I found the necessary space to develop and find fulfillment. Metal Bernard’s strong culture of continuous improvement has allowed me to continually remain stimulated. Now, I want to give back and mentor those who have the talent and desire to develop!”

Érick Valois
Group Leader / Quotation, Programming and Engineering

In 2001, Érick would never have thought that the most important day of his career would also be America’s darkest day. That’s right, Érick began working as a laser operator on September 11, 2001.

A shareholder since 2014, over the years, Érick worked his way up the company ranks thanks to his love for teamwork and his dedication to the company. He accepted every challenge that came his way and eventually moved from the factory to the office. Thus, he went from the laser department to the programming and drawing department, and then became coordinator. Shy by nature, he overcame his uneasiness through the inspiration of the coaches around him. This allowed him to develop leadership skills and, a few years later, to become the office group leader. The help and inspiration of team members around him allowed him to make the office what it is today.

“I am lucky to fully fulfill my role as group leader and to support this amazing team, which is like a big family to me.”

Outside of work, Érick spends most of his time with his wife and two children, who are the most important part of his life. Finally, he admits that he has long been very interested in restoration, particularly his 1953 Chevrolet Bel Air.

JLM PRECISION MACHINING

Shareholders

Frédéric Bernard
Plant Manager

With over 12 years of seniority at Mundial Group, Frédéric is the type of person who knows how to seize opportunities. His appetite for challenges helped him move up the ranks of the Metal Bernard team, where he worked for almost 11 years. With a technical diploma in mechanical engineering, he began his career at Metal Bernard as a machinist. He then became a team leader, and finally rose to the position of shipping and CDMB group leader, a position he held until 2015.

Following Mundial Group’s 2015 acquisition of JLM Precision Machining, Frédéric was offered the position of plant manager.

“I joined a great team and my goal now is to become the leader in machining.”

His leadership, positive attitude, calm demeanour and team building personality help him guide his team’s development and JLM’s growth. He is a proud ambassador of Mundial Group’s mission and guiding principles!

Nancy Boily
Quality, Shipping and Continuous Improvement Manager

Inspired by her father, who worked in the metal and welding field, Nancy developed an interest in machining at the age of 18. Despite the quotas of the time and the non-traditional nature of the job for a woman, in 2000, she obtained a vocational diploma in machining techniques. She continued her training with an Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS) in digital control systems and an AVS in business start-ups. This training increased her desire to become part of the first forming dies and tooling group in Québec. In 2002, through perseverance and determination, she was one of seven students who passed this gruelling, combined course which ran from morning to night at the training centre.

In 2002, she was hired at Metal Bernard as a weekend laser operator. One year later, her thirst for knowledge inspired her to enter the field of estimation. In 2004, she became CDMB Director, which allowed her to flourish within the team and use her skills as a machinist. In 2011, because of her interest in continuous improvement, she became head of the continuous improvement and quality control department. Finally, in 2016, her knowledge of machining and experience in continuous improvement led her to a new challenge, becoming shareholder of JLM Precision Machining.

As an athlete and an artist at heart, Nancy is an enthusiastic person always looking for new experiences. Without a doubt, her family is what is most precious to her.

Gaétan Noël
Project Manager

With a deep interest in machining, Gaétan has worked in the field for over 40 years. During these four decades, he has witnessed extraordinary machining developments and technological innovations which continue to astound him.

As a part of the JLM team since the very beginning, Gaétan has held many positions over the years: handler, head of procurement, machinist, quality manager, production manager and project manager. Gaetan undoubtedly knows everything about JLM. His many years of service and dedication to the company ultimately allowed him to become a shareholder in 2015.

Finally, Gaétan has a passion for the great outdoors of northern Québec and its natural resources.
