Darrell Morgan

 

President

 

Darrell grew up in the fuel industry learning the family business from his father Lew and is the third generation of the Morgan family to service Northwestern Ontario's fuel and lubricant needs.  Darrell became the President of Morgan Fuels in 1996 and works with his management team to ensure the company continues to be the company of choice for petroleum needs with excellence in customer service.  As the company had grown and spread geographically Darrell has remained the team lead on strategic direction and spends a significant amount of time talking with customers to ensure they receive the value in service they demand.  Darrell is actively involved in community activities and has been know to spend many hours on his boat catching fish.

 

 

Lew Morgan

Vice President

 

Lew joined his father Ebenezer in 1958 as the second generation in the fuel business.  Years of front line fuel delivery set the foundation for the high level of service still given to the customer.  Lew provides guidance to various members of the Morgan Fuels team working closely with fleet management and taking on special projects.  Lew is fully available to discuss fuel related projects and can be found working on a few vehicle treasures he has discovered along the way on a few family road trips.

 

Laurel Hakala

Chief Financial Officer

 

Laurel joined the Morgan Fuels team in January 2013 bringing experience in accounting, finance and management.  She has a diploma in retail management and holds the professional designation of Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified General Accountant.  Laurel plays a key role in planning, acquisitions, management and controllership of the company.

 

Alan Howie

General Manager

 

As General Manager, Alan ensures the overall effective operation of the Morgan Group of companies.  He has previous experience with Morgan Fuels as the Operations Manager, mixed with an additional 16 years of Municipal Management in senior roles.  Working with a solid team approach in mind, Alan works to guide the 50 members of the Morgan Fuels team to ensure sales and operational excellence.  Alan is active in fishing, hockey, his new interest of motorcycles and is a level 4 Hockey Canada Official.

 

Diane Martin

Human Resources Administrator

 

Diane joined the Morgan Fuels' team in January 2010 as our company expanded into Kenora, Dryden and Vermillion Bay.  Prior to joining Morgan Fuels, Diane managed Sioux-Hudson Employment Services, the local employment office, assisting with their recruitment needs and providing employment counseling to jobseekers for over 13 years.  Diane is based out of Sioux Lookout and is the lead for all of the Human Resource needs of our company.
