PLASMA CUTTING

Nov 24, 2015
Need a piece of steel plate cut to spec? Need a hundred more? Our high-definition plasma table can cut anything from 16 gauge steel to 2 ½" thick plate within industry leading tolerances.

If thicker cutting is required, the optional oxy-fuel head can cut up to 5" thick material and our 14" x 16" capacity CNC horizontal bandsaw will take care of any structural shapes for length. For any structural shapes requiring holes, slots or coping, our 90 ton iron worker will suffice.

Our HPR260 plasma cutter allows for highly accurate shapes to be produced, including bevelled edges (up to 45 degrees). During cutting, an inert gas is blown at high speed through a nozzle and an electrical arc. Some of that gas will ignite into plasma - melting the metal that is being cut - which is instantly blown out of the way.
