Healthy employees who feel valued make for productive workers

Promoting a healthy work environment is paramount to preventing absenteeism. A wellness program can enhance the physical well-being of employees, while also increasing staff morale. Wellness programs can include testing for blood pressure, blood sugars, cholesterol and BMI. They can also include vision screening, a pulmonary functions test (PFT) and training seminars for nutrition and lifestyle.

Wellness programs for musculoskeletal training provides training for proper lifting, stretching and strengthening techniques. This type of program discusses injury prevention and brings awareness to wrist, neck, shoulder and back health.

Group seminars can also discuss stress management, diabetes, cholesterol and healthy weight management. Wellness is for everyone. All programs are conducted by a nurse or specialized medical physician. The results and feedback are confidential and if it is recommended, the individual can seek out additional testing and treatment from their family doctor.
