Our History
 
In 1971, Vic Priestly officially incorporated Vic Priestly Contracting Limited, initiating the evolution of Priestly. More than 20 years later, in 1993, Priestly Demolition Inc. (PDI) was incorporated as a unionized company with 10 employees, many of whom continue to work with Priestly today. Since that time, PDI has provided demolition, excavation, remediation, hazardous material abatement, and salvage services to the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors of the construction industry in Ontario.
 
Our Founder
 
As founder of Priestly Demolition Inc., Vic Priestly brought a vast knowledge of diverse industries including contracting, demolition, real estate, salvageable materials, and antiques. He has led the company with sheer determination and a “don’t give up” attitude that is infectious, allowing him to adapt as situations and industries change. He understands the value of surrounding himself with trusted peers, continuously working to build a solid team. If he doesn’t know how to do something, he finds someone who does. He also demonstrates to his entire team the importance of compassion and community. He continues to provide inspiration and mentorship to the next generation of the business leadership, his children Ryan and Robin Priestly.
 
Ryan Priestly, President
 
As president of Priestly Demolition Inc., Ryan manages the field operations and equipment. He has shown a single-minded dedication to the family business since he was very young, always wanting to be out on a machine and working with his dad. That commitment and passion have helped him to build his knowledge and expertise, and they are the driving force behind PDI's innovations in demolition techniques. Under Ryan's leadership, Priestly has grown in its position as one of the largest and most respected demolition companies in Canada.
