The department of Public Works provides essential services to Sheshegwaning residents, and maintains all SFN assets.
 
Construction is underway on the Sheshegwaning First Nation Firestation and Emergency First Response Bay Expansion Project, which is supported by the Government of Canada through the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program.
 
The main services provided include:
 
  1. Water Treatment and Distribution
  2. Waste Collection/Management
  3. Road Maintenance
  4. Public Building and Property Maintenance
  5. Snow Removal
  6. Fire Protection and Safety
