Rahill-Bonanza
Overview
The Rahill-Bonanza Property (44% Premier/56% Red Lake Gold Mines Ltd. (Evolution Mining)) is uniquely blessed with extensive local and regional infrastructure that includes active gold mining operations located immediately east and west of its property boundary. The operations are linked by a 1.6 kilometre deep high capacity railway system (the “tram”) which traverses the joint venture property and is used to efficiently transport mined material.
The Property occurs along the main Red Lake “Mine Trend” and is the only remaining property on the trend that is not 100%-owned by Newmont Goldcorp Corporation.
Multiple deposits exist on the Property that remain open at depth and warrant significant future exploration.
Location
The Rahill-Bonanza Property is located in the heart of the Red Lake gold mining district in Northwestern Ontario. The communities of Red Lake, Balmertown and Cochenour are serviced by a regional paved highway, airport and provide an abundant source of diversely skilled labour.
Geology
Located in the Archean-aged Red Lake Greenstone Belt (RLGB), within the Uchi Sub-province of the Superior Structural Province. The known gold deposits reside proximal to the Balmer-Confederation regional unconformity. These known deposits include the West Granodiorite Zone, Wilmar Deposit, PG70 Zone and Bonanza deposit. All known deposits at Rahill-Bonanza are open at depth, representing highly attractive exploration targets.
