The Goodman School of Mines coordinates and promotes all mining-related research conducted at the University through the many mining-related research centres on campus. This one-stop shop approach to mining research enhances opportunities through synergistic and intuitive project alignments, shared resources, and focused coordination. We provide a united front to industry and government partners and will coordinate external relationships related to mining.

CROSH
Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health
 
A research hub for occupational health and safety, ergonomics and occupational physiology in workplace and industrial environments, the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health works closely with industry, safe workplace associations, labour groups, and government on injury prevention, safer work practices and improved health outcomes.
 
 
MERC
Mineral Exploration Research Centre
 
The mineral exploration research arm of the Harquail School of Earth Sciences, MERC is an internationally recognized and industry-funded center for exploration research and education. MERC is the scientific and administrative lead for Metal Earth, the largest funded exploration research program ever undertaken in Canada.
 
 
MIRARCO
Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation
 
Combining academic and professional dynamics, the Mining Innovation Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation has been developing innovative solutions to mining industry challenges through funded applied research since 1998. Key areas of research include safety, rock mechanics, software and energy.
 
 
VLWLC
Vale Living with Lakes Centre
 
A multidisciplinary research and monitoring institute designed to assist in the protection and management of northern aquatic ecosystems, it is a true incubator for the advancement of environmental science.
