Your respiratory equipment requires regular servicing at specific intervals to ensure your life-saving equipment will perform under the harshest conditions.
 
Levitt-Safety provides both mobile and in-house service for all of your respiratory equipment in our ISO 9001 certified service centres.
 
Compressor/Fill Station
 
Levitt-Safety is an authorized Jordair (Bauer) and Scott Safety BA Compressor repair center. Our technicians are factory-trained and certified, so you’ll be confident knowing your compressors are being serviced by competent professionals. Your breathing air compressors require service at regular intervals, including:
  • Filter Changes
  • Non-Securus monitoring system: 6 months, or 85 hours (manufacturer specs)
  • Securus monitoring system: 12 months, or 120 hours (manufacturer specs)
  • Aluminum filter towers to be replaced every 15 years (manufacturer specs)
  • Air Quality Testing & Accredited Lab Testing Analysis
  • Every 6 months, as per CSA Z180.1-13
  • At every filter and oil change, as per CSA Z180.1-13 and manufacturer specs
  • In-Line Carbon Monoxide Gas Monitor Calibration
  • Every 6 months, as per CSA Z180.1-13 and manufacturer specs
  • Manufacturers’ Maintenance Schedule
  • Semi-annually: air test, check for leaks, check electrical connections, possible filter change (non-securus)
  • Annually: oil change, air test, check for leaks, check electrical connections, possible filter change (securus)
  • 500 hours OR annually: service intake filter, oil change (mineral), change oil filter
  • 750 – 800 hours: dismantle valves, clean, check and replace if necessary
  • 1000 hours: oil change (synthetic), oil filter, check drive belt, clean all sintered metal, check for leaks
  • 2000 hours: replace valves, block overhaul
 
SCBA Service
 
Self-contained breathing apparatus, or SCBA, require regular servicing at specific intervals to ensure your life-saving equipment will perform in the toughest conditions:
  • All open-circuit SCBA require flow-testing
  • Breathing air must also be replaced annually along with an internal visual inspection of the cylinder.
  • Hydrostatic testing of fibreglass or Kevlar® full wrapped and hoop wrapped cylinders must be performed every three (3) years
  • Hydrostatic testing of steel, aluminum and carbon fibre cylinders must be performed every five (5) years

Our service technicians are trained and authorized to service breathing air equipment from industry leading manufactures like Scott, MSA, and Survivair (Honeywell) and ensure compliance with CSA and NFPA guidelines. Proper preventative maintenance can go a long way to ensuring your equipment continues to perform at its optimum level.

Levitt-Safety is actively seeking a Service Coordinator in our Port Coquitlam location to schedule mobile service technicians.

SERVICE ADMIN COORDINATOR - CONTRACT ROLE

Reporting to the Fort McMurray Service Admin Supervisor and working within a team environment, this position will support the day to day operations of the Fort McMurray Service Department by scheduling service calls, and to communicate with customers to determine and fulfill their service requirements.
